Workshop Highlights
I really enjoyed leading a workshop for students at The Roux Institute at Northeastern University on mastering non-technical skills for career advancement.
During the workshop, we covered:
- Key non-technical skills required for career success and advancement in technical fields
- An overview and definition of non-technical skills, examples of career pathways and how these skills contribute to advancement, and key takeaways for students, graduates, and early-career professionals
- In interactive exercise to help participants craft a clear and compelling “Tell Me About Yourself” statement
- Current trends in the job market and strategies for candidates to stand out in a highly competitive and dynamic market
In today’s ever-evolving workforce, human-centered professional skills matter more than ever. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with the Roux Institute team and support the professional development of their students, who are the future of cutting edge fields such as data science and AI, computational medicine, and bioinformatics.
